Conference Championship Weekend

Hello, boys and girls. We're back. Another 2-2 weekend in the books and we're still even steven on the postseason. Two real tough games this weekend, but let's go.

Pittsburgh at Denver (-3.5)
Both teams playing extremely well. The Broncos defense has been good against the run all year long. I think they're gonna be able to force the steelers into a lot of clear passing situations and force big ben to beat them. I think the altitude and the run defense puts denver over the top in this one. In Rod we trust.
Denver 24 Pittsburgh 17

Carolina at Seattle (-3.5)
This game should be AWESOME. Steve Smith. Wow. I cant recall a wide receiver being this dominant since jerry rice was in his prime. This guy is an absolute freak. If Seattle doesnt double him on EVERY PLAY (and he'll still get solid numbers), then Holmgren should be lynched. The Panthers were, for the most part, a one-trick pony when they had deshaun foster. Without him, look for smith to get about 20 looks. Reigning "MVP" shaun alexander looks to bounce back from a piss poor start and a concussion against the panthers stout defense. I dont really like alexander, but i'm expecting him to have a good enough day to let hasselbeck do his thing and get the seahawks and their TREMENDOUSLY UNDERRATED DEFENSE to the super bowl.
Seattle 31 Carolina 27
(by the way, LOVE the over in this one -- 43.5)

I like Denver in the AFC game, and I like them to cover, too.

The NFC is a tough call, but I think the Panthers are going to miss Foster more than they (or the media?) realize. Seattle in a tight one.
